Overview
MuteBack is designed as a local-first desktop app. Its main purpose is to detect when you are speaking and lower background audio on your device.
Data collection
MuteBack does not collect personal data from you or send personal data to us. The app does not use:
- analytics tracking
- advertising identifiers
- remote telemetry
- usage profiles
Audio processing
Microphone audio is processed locally on your device for voice activity detection. MuteBack does not upload your microphone audio, background audio, settings, or voice data to a remote server.
Local settings and voice profiles
Settings are stored locally so your preferences remain available between launches. If voice enrollment is used, voice samples and the derived voice profile are also stored locally on your device.
